For instance, on March 15, 2025, the Metallurgy Culture Museum-the first comprehensive exhibition hall dedicated to steel culture among the nation's higher vocational colleges-officially opened. Centered on the theme "Forging Dreams with Craftsmanship and an Unwavering Commitment to the Industry," the museum showcases the development trajectory and contemporary significance of the steel industry through four key sections: historical origins, process demonstrations, technological applications, and cultural heritage. Furthermore, the museum has pioneered an educational model that integrates exhibitions with instruction, deeply combining cultural display with vocational training. It developed hybrid practical training courses-blending virtual and physical elements-that were incorporated into the core curriculum for metallurgy-related majors. By sharing digital resources with numerous steel enterprises across the province, the museum has established a replicable model for vocational education reform.
In addition, the industry promotes the spirit of craftsmanship and the ethos of model workers by recognizing outstanding examples of excellence. For example, at the awards ceremony held by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions on April 28, 2026-marking International Workers' Day-the non-ferrous metals industry saw 14 entities receive the National May 1st Labor Certificate of Merit, 45 individuals awarded the National May 1st Labor Medal, and 41 collectives honored with the National Workers' Pioneer Award.
