The designed wave energy conversion device primarily employs a conversion process that transforms wave energy into mechanical energy and subsequently into electrical energy. The overall concept is as follows: first, a floating body in direct contact with the seawater moves up and down with the waves, converting wave energy into mechanical energy possessed by the float; second, the motion of the float drives an intermediate mechanical transmission system-which, in addition to increasing speed and transmitting energy, performs the crucial function of converting the float's reciprocating motion into unidirectional rotational motion; finally, a generator converts the mechanical energy transmitted by the system into electrical energy.

The device operates on the following principle: Rack ① is in direct contact with the float. As the float moves up and down with the waves, it drives Rack ① to move vertically. When the float moves upward, Rack ① moves upward as well; Gear ⑥ (meshed with the rack) rotates to the right, while Gear ⑦ idles due to the action of a one-way bearing. The rotation of Gear ⑥ drives Large Gear ④ and the meshed Small Gear ③, causing Generator ② to rotate to the left. When the float moves downward, Gear ⑥ idles due to the one-way bearing, while Gear ⑦ rotates to the right, driving Large Gear ④ and Small Gear ③; throughout this process, the generator continues to rotate to the left. This mechanism thereby achieves continuous unidirectional rotation of the generator.
